when i apply to university, then get accepted by more than one, then how do i reject the one i dont wont? because my friend had that problem and the university went about as though they'd gone there,and told them they had to pay???!!
please help--thanks

Write a letter and send it return reciept required, make a note on the tags you fill in at the post office it is a refusal...
keep these for you records.
Only send a copy of this if the University tries anything...
Or... your attendance elsewhere is proof, they can take a hike when they try to bill you.

In addition, not returning correspondence is not allowed as an acceptance (to a contract) in any state's law, near as I can tell...

Don't reply to the university. The university can't charge you anything unless you register for classes. They don't need a "i'm not coming letter" Who would you send it to?

That sounds odd. Everywhere I went you had to actually register for classes.

write to the admissions office and say you've decided on another college/university.
