First Class degree 1:1 (70% and over)
Upper second degree 2:1 (60% and over)
Lower second degree 2:2 ( 50% over)
Third Class degree 3rd (40% over)
Under 40% you fail but you do have 3 attempts at all modules.

And University is good whatever classification you achieve. A good education will see you through your entire life it gives you skills you will use and benefit from as well as introducing you to many many different people some of whom will become life long friends.

do you mean like 9th grade? or do you mean like A B C D F?

Numerically, if anyone called them such, 4 years of college would be the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th grade. The master's degree would be the 17th and 18th grade. Nobody calls it that though.

We usually use Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, and Graduate Student to distinguish between the levels of college and university students.

For class grades it's pretty much the same as HS. ABCD and F and some schools have a + or - on those as well. Then there's P/F (pass/fail) for some classes and S/U (satisfactory/unsat) for some classes. W for classes you withdraw from and WF for those you withdraw too late from.

upper first 80%+
Lower first 70%+
2.1 60%+
2.2 50%+
3rd 40%+
Fail below 40%

If you are thinking of going to uni, my advice is if you are capable of getting a 1st go. If not, don't bother because you are wasting your money.
