Are 'contemporary leisure' and 'free time'the same thing? can you think of any examples to help illustrate this point?

Many modern young people work hard at their careers and have free time outside work. What many like to do with their free time are 'contemporary leisure' activities, such as extreme sports, mountain climbing, hiking, camping, or maybe indoor activities such as gaming.

'Free time' is time in your life not devoted to work or chores, 'contemporary leisure' is what people do with their free time.

Purely guessing here, I'd that that 'contemporary leisure' is what you do with your 'free time.'
