I probably have about 24,000 out in subsidized and unsubsidized loans. I know want to just start over and go to a technical school for 23 months and get a license for radiology technology. Do you think there will be enough left for me to pay for the program and live off of? I am a single mom. Not sure if that matters as far as the amount I can borrow ultimately.

I'm thinking of a marketing major for my undergrad degree. The thing is, I'm a Canadian permanent resident, but I'd much prefer going to the states for a business undergrad program. Is it worth going to prestigious schools in the states paying a higher tuition? Will the job I get after graduation pay more if I go to the states than if I, say go to University of Toronto in Canada? I'm thinking of NYU Stern, UC Berkeley, U Michigan, and U Penn.

all my friends are going to become doctors. one is going to become a pediatrican one an cardiologist one a dentist an other an ob/gyn and other an neurosurgeon and i decided that i was going to become an anesthesiologist. and dont get me wrong I AM SMART. so i can become one if i want to, the only problem is it takes 12 years. thats like elementary junior and high school all in one. i dont want to be in school that long so is there something else that i can become that deals with anesthesia just not as long? or do u think i should just swallow my pride and become an anesthesiologist? i know that i should be what i want to be and dont base my LIFE CHANGING DECISIONS based on what my friends are becoming but from where i'm from if your not some type or doctor or judge or something in an high postion of work then your dont have an upperhand. so what i need is some really heartfelt advice. i mean REALLY HEARTFELT. i've asked my parents and they told me to follow my heart. If I become a philosophy professor, then will I earn decent amount of money?

I am a newbie on this university education field, so I want to get a brief picture of what it is.

How much is an average salary of a philosophy professor?

And, is the money earning for the professors in general low?

And is the philosophy professor's "growth potential" (it means getting a promotion, being paid higher salary, etc.) high?

Please tell me as info as possible.

Thank you.

I applied early decision to juniata college- its competitive but not like ivy league or anything. I also just applied to Moravian College- I dont know much about it but it seems like a good fit for me. My guidance counselor rates juniata a 3 and moravian a 2 out of 5 for me, meaning i have a very good shot at getting into moravian and about 60-70% of getting into juniata. Am I okay just applying to these two and no others? Is it likely that i will be turned down by both of these colleges?

Here's Juniata on Collegeboard-http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=221

Here's Moravian on Collegeboard-

Is there anyone with symilar backround? I am 32, and hve a BA. I have lacked the confidence to try acheiving my dream until adulthood. I have started all of the prliminary things.. Clinical experience, science classes, books, timeline etc. . I am a little reluctant, because my previous grade have not been all that stellar. I am now focused and doing very well in school. I am looking for someone that has had a symilar history an has been successful. I guess I am just looking for some positive advice...
thanks
