I live in Arkansas and there isn't a school in the state that offers Veterinary Medicine or a Veterinary Tech course of study. I've heard that if the state you live in doesn't have a school that offers the career you want to go into, and you have to go OUT of state to pursue your degree, then the state has to pay for it. Help?! Has anyone else heard of this and where can I get ANY information abou this.?

Imagine you had a friend, a good friend of yours...exactly right in front of you...he was recently filled with injuries on the face and also bruises because he hit a child with something hard....now, he's being criticised with the people and community not knowing the real reason behind his injuries...being sad and not seeking vengeance, he is not taking care of his self well...he is having a large and abnormal tummy, so dilapidated body....superwhite face...

Now the question:
........what are you going to say to him/advice him as a very dear friend of his....?

Please be more positive.

So I'm a senior in high school getting ready to apply for colleges but I'm worried about my extracurricular activity, mainly how I had none. I have been a part of two clubs in the past four years but each have only been for one year and I was never very deep into either. I'm worried that it will look bad when I'm applying to colleges, that I'll look uninvolved or like a drifter. If I lied on admissions papers and said I was in groups or participated in things outside of school is there any way they'd find out?

The common application says to write a 250-500 word essay. My essay however is 750 words and I really think that in order to keep the quality of the essay, it has to be that long. Will I be penalized for keeping my essay over the suggested word limit or does it not matter to college admissions people?

I am a 3.0 student at a Top 10 Undergrad Business school. I am going to go into the military when I graduate as an officer. I wanted to use my education benefits to take part-time classes at a local community college when I graduate to show I can get better grades (I have been working full-time since junior year, part of the reason my grades are low). I have high GMATs, (750ish) I have two internships under my belt.

Does anyone else know of anything I can do that will strengthen my chances of getting into a Top 5-10 graduate school? I am going to apply after I return from active-duty? (approximately 5 years after I graduate).

I am going to get some certifications, (CPA,etc.) I figured that would help. Please let me know. Thank you very much.

i'm 90% sure that i won't graduate. I failed one of my English last year. Now i'm failing my English class this semester. Next semester, i will have Eng Comp, which is mostly about writing. I'm TERRIBLE at writing. Do you know it takes me like 10 - 15 min just to think of one sentence? I have to retake the ones that i failed, which means i will have THREE English classes in second semester. Gosh!!! i'm so gonna be dying alive. I can't imagine how my family would react if i don't graduate. ;((. I need helps!!!!!!!

I'm near the end of my first semester at a community college, and I want to transfer down to southern cali, to a different community college. Would this even be possible & would any of my credits transfer? (At least those that would normally transfer to another university.)

And would me failing one of my classes currently hurt my chances of being able to transfer? (I'm doing moderately well in my other ones, just not this particular one.)

I am a senior in college this year and I am having a major problem in one of my classes. This is the last course that is required for me to graduate in May of 2008 and if I don't pass I will not graduate because the class is only offered in the fall. I am trying my best, I hired a tutor(but had to discontinue use of him b/c i could not afford it), I go to EVERY lecture and study session and I just can't seem to get it. It is Thermodynamic Chemistry and I have put all I have into this course and I am not getting the desired results. I have gone to see my professor numerous times and he just keeps telling me to solve problems and to make sure I understand how they are solved, well, I have done the problems in my book and I even got two more books from the library but it is not helping. I just don't understand the information in this class. How can I convince my professor to pass me because I really am trying my best. Any suggestions?Success stories?Legitimate, well thought answers please

I will be transferring out of my community college next year to complete a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering. I will have 70 credits but don't meet the requirements for an associates degree because I haven't taken a "cultural awareness" class. It sounds like a waste of time and money to me. I was wondering if there is any benefit in having an associates degree that would justify taking this class.
