San Francisco has a good transit system, but i dont know about the living situation. The job market is pretty good since it probably has a lot of big name companies there. Chicago is alright too (dont know about how expensive it is to live there though) Dont go to Miami or any other cities in florida and you probably wouldnt want to live in New York City.

San Jose isnt that bad too. The transit system is pretty good (and your not limited to San Jose only. The transit system is a county wide and you can go to different cities on the transit system)

Chicago is great. It's a big diverse midwestern city that has a decent public trasport system.

Don't go to miami. Sure it's fun and looks great but would be a horrible decision for your situation
