Imagine you had a friend, a good friend of yours...exactly right in front of you...he was recently filled with injuries on the face and also bruises because he hit a child with something hard....now, he's being criticised with the people and community not knowing the real reason behind his injuries...being sad and not seeking vengeance, he is not taking care of his self well...he is having a large and abnormal tummy, so dilapidated body....superwhite face...

Now the question:
........what are you going to say to him/advice him as a very dear friend of his....?

Please be more positive.

Your friend did something truly wrong. Because he is your friend, you seem to be more worried about him, but the fact is that hitting a child with something hard was absolutely wrong. If he is now feeling remorse, that is actually an important part of healing. He should feel sad and sorry for what he did. It is unfortunate that others took physical revenge on him rather than leaving it up to the legal system, but it seems to have at least caused him to feel bad, which is important when one does something really wrong.

I would say, "I was saddened too that you did this terrible thing, but now I am also worried about you. You seem to be very depressed, and it is hurting you. As your friend, I am urging you to seek help." It isn't up to you to "cheer him up," but you need to steer him toward a professional who can help him accept responsibility for what he has done in a more productive way.
