My average for grades 9 trought 12 is around 75%. I don't know what kind of GPA it gives, but I am sure it's pretty low. I tried to explain that to my father but he just yells at me and says not only geniuses get accepted there and I have to apply to all of them. Now the thing is he wants me to only apply there, and no safety school. I told him it is unrealistic and that even people with the best GPAs at my school still apply for a safety school.

He just says he don't care. I told him my counselor told us about the grades required to get in there and he told me he only wants us all to go to a University, no matter how bad it is, so that his school can write most of their students got accepted to a University, and he said the counselor doesn't care about the students.

No matter what I tell him, he keeps yelling and saying I will be accepted and I have to stop saying I am horrible, and then he gives me examples and says thousands of students get accepted there each year, and that it's impossible that each of them is a genius. What am I supposed to do? I want to at least apply to some less selective places but he wants me only to apply there and is 100% sure I will get in, no matter what I tell him.

I might be going to Ivy Tech but I was wondering if anyone knew of a college where I could take all my classes online for the Associates of Science for an RN license? If anyone knows anything please let me know. It would be really hard to have to go to a school when I might be able to do it here from home?

THANK YOU for your time!

I have attended 4 universities and only put in the app that I had attended 3. I lied because i really want to attend this university and the last university I attended I didn't do so well due to the fact that I stop going to school because I had just found out I was HIV+. I did't do so good the last semester and if i would had added this university, I don't think I would had been accepted. What are the chances they will find out? What should I do?

Are employers and recruiters looking for business position candidates with degrees from AACSB accredited schools or are these sort of business school accreditations not very important?

My parents don't want me to take a degree in Fine Art and Art History, even if I get into a good Uni, they will still think I will not make any money from this. They tell me "what are you going to get out of painting?" They only care about earning money. The only thing I'm good at and passionate about is Art. I'm going to take this degree no matter what, but can't help but feel down. I don't know what I want to be, but it's not artist or a teacher. My parents think these are the only jobs out there and I know it isn't... I don't know how to react everytime they ask me what I am going to do with this degree.

I am very close to making a decision. I would like more feedback on both sides to pursuade me to leave or stay. This is my first semester at U of M as a transfer student and even though I have studied harder than I ever did in my courses at any college. II dont even know if I can get pass my classes this semester.. U of M curriculum for science courses and math courses are so tough that it took some people who were straight a students in high school all their effort to get a b and some dont. I think it would be better for me to transfer to a school like University of Wisconsin because I think it would be better to easily get a 3.5 at a B level of education school than to struggle hard and not get good scholarships to continue at an A level school like University of Michigan.

I live in California, and my mom does not want to come with me to visit. I'm currently a sophomore, and I'm trying to find accommodation in New York for about a week, so I can visit the schools during my spring break. Would I be able to do it without my mom? (She really has a lot of things going on, and she can't make it any other years..long story). Help! Thank you so much, in advance.
