I’m writing an admissions essay for college about successful photographers that never went to college due to poor grades or simply the lack of desire to attend.
I’m trying to explain that having a higher education gives you all the more chance to be successful and prosperous. Any personal information on these photographers would be greatly appreciated.
I will pick best answer and award 10 points! Thanks for your future comments!

I went to a low level 4 year university and earned (barely) a BFA in Radio & Television. After working in the radio industry for a couple of years, I am ready to do something different. I was into drugs in college, hence the poor grades. I've turned my life around and want more for myself... any advice? can you outline the app process? I barely know what a GRE is!!

I'm in college and am very displeased with my academic advisor. She has not been helpful enough and she just sends me emails full of stuff acting like she doesn't care so she gives me one or two sentences and some other emails, she doesn't know about anything of the questions I ask. I come to her for advice and help so I can succeed in class right and so I can make the right decisions. I'm not sure I can do that with this academic advisor. How can I change academic advisors?

I'm a B.Sc grad. Wrked as Consultant (Unix) 4 one of the major IT companies in Chennai for 2 yrs. psst.. I got this job with a fake exp of 2 years :-( Now, I have a gap in my career of almost 4 yrs, not coz of my prior fake exp though ( actual reason- I can't tell as this isn't the approp forum for that). Now, I want 2 re-enter the IT industry, but with honesty, and with a better educational background. Recently, I stumbled across an advt. in TimesOf India about an MBA(IS) for Non-IT grads, by Bangalore Management Academy (BMA).
Iam really EXCITED -
coz I like the course curriculum, which's blend of IT and mngmnt concepts. And its approved by AICTE&AIU
CONFUSED -
What kinda job I'll get after the course. I really want to be in IT. Project Management is fine, but ain't cut for "actual" business procdngs of the cmpny.
WORRIED-
've to spend 4 lacs Rs and 20 mnths time. If smthing goes wrong, thn I'll hv 2 post anthr question, "Info abt shelter 4 Homeless" :-)

I just finished college in june. I did a healthcare trade, however the city where I'm from isn't hiring for my profession. My fiance and I were thinking about buying a home. I still live at home, but I'm 25 years old and I've been in school since high school(I also have a degree) i can get a job anywhere outside my city, in fact I have companies calling me and writing letters to me. My fiance owns a business here so he cannot move. I don't know what to do! I've tried everywhere here(I'm in a smaller city, and only rural around the city)

I'm at the point in my life where I'm getting ready to attend college and like many others; I have no idea what I plan on studying. I have always been passionate about so many things so I cannot seem to pick just one. So I'm compiling a list of subjects I enjoy:

-Geography -Music -Singing -Writing [songs, poems, novels] -Activism -Environment -Nutrition -Wellness -Yoga -Religion[eastern] -Cultures -Travel -Politics -Green Living
-Lanuage[french/german/spanish]

Now that you have an idea of what interests me maybe you could help find a few career matches or major/minor ideas. Thank you so much.

Namaste/Peace & Love.

I'm wondering if any "brick and mortar" schools offer doctorates or phd degrees online. I know there is plenty extension schools that have masters programs online (Harvard, NE, MIT, etc...) but nothing further up. Please keep in mind im only asking about programs associated with well known, non-online only, schools.

I was wondering how you get a b.a. and when can you get it. I researched about it a bit, and it was said that b.a.s are for undergraduates, so do you get your b.a. the first 2 years of college? But don't you have to take the GEDs? So is it b/c you take the GEDs along with the b.a. requirements? Plus is there a time limit to get a b.a. Sorry, I'm still in high school and trying to learn more about this stuff. Thanks so much for the help.

Which college is better for someone planning to become a physician?

Also I heard that UC Merced hasn't been around that long so it doesn't have a vast selection of classes. By 2010 what kind of classes (or majors) will be available there?

Ashworth University, Penn Foster?
What other colleges are accredited & inexpensive & online?
Now, before answering this question, be sure that your facts are straight & not something that you "think" is right.
