An Associates Degree is not meant to be a terminal degree -- but as preparation for a BS or BA. You would be much better off going on for a BS.

Let's put the value of an AS in perspective. Someone who goes to a community college for two years, gets straight Cs and leaves will have an AS. Someone who goes to Harvard for two years, gets straight As and then leaves is called a College Dropout.

Would you rather hire the guy with the associates degree of the college dropout?

Stay in school -- get the BS. They will hire you over the dropout.

Depends on your major. I have an AS degree in Accounting and work for a world wide corporation based out of Japan. I travel between San Antonio, LA, Seattle, Chicago, Central Valley of California and scheduled to go to Vancouver & Japan the first of the year. I handle all the accounting for Western North America and make $46K (not including expense accounts). It depends on your major and how dedicated you are to your profession. I've worked at 2 companies since I graduated and both of them were in Cost accounting - which I love. That was my focus and it just so happened that I make great money to boot.
