I know it's horrible in a sense, but I waited a little longer because of my minority background.

It is not too late to apply for next year at most colleges.

Each college has its own deadlines. Some close them in December. Others close them in the Spring. Still others keep them open into the summer.

You should check the web sites for the colleges that interest you.

College websites list their application deadlines. Those are the dates to beat. Some colleges will let you apply every semester.

In the larger scheme of things, it's only too late when you don't want to learn anymore. I got my master's degree at age 36.

your minority background will probably help you honestly, apply asap for next year or next semester (if you're transferring)
