I am a seventh grader ( form 1).
My father has always asked about my ambition. He then says he will be saving money for me to go to pre-university ( pre-u).
The main question is, What is PhD and pre-university?

So, what makes college students broke? Is it that they have to pay for school that makes them broke? Or is it their spending habits? Cuz I'm a new college student, and I got my financial aid and everything, and so I got all that money. But if most students get at least some financial aid, why are they broke? Is it the "partying"? Or what is it?

Thank you!

Wanting to go back to school and get my Masters Degree, but not sure what would be a good supplement to the Bachelors degree that I already have. Something in Sales or Advertising, or maybe public administration...any suggestions?

Hi

I need information on those four colleges. Lots of Information. Campus description, average incoming freshman GPA, location, class sizes, tuition, living areas on campus, and pretty much everything about the college. Links are needed. I'm not having a lot of luck googleing it, so I would like some help.

Thanks in advance!

I am currently enrolled in a community college and I want to transfer to Berkeley; however, I've heard that it's pretty hard to transfer to Berkeley if you don't have any leadership experience even if you have a 4.0 GPA. Is leadership experience crucial? or would any voluntary work be ok?

Also, is there any thing else I should do if I want to get in Berkeley?

I currently have one undergrad degree. I'd like to seek another one but don't want to have to take the same classes all over again, as I have already graduated.

I've been wanting to go to Harvard ever since I could understand the college system. In my school, we take eight courses each year. I got two D+'s freshman year because of personal issues (they are in none-core classes) but besides that I have straight As. My GPA is going to be around 91-93 (much higher if weighted). I took the honors level of every class that offered it. I took ten AP classes and thirteen AP exams and got 4's on half and 5's on the rest. I have 2200+ on the SAT I and 700+ on three SAT IIs in Chemistry, Biology, and World History. I've done environmental volunteer work at the local rivers/forests and volunteered at Mass General Hospital. I've also done model U.N., debate team, environmental action team, mock trial, math club, ocean sciences team, and academic decathalon. I tutor underclassmen, have been a lab assistant to science teachers, and written/directed a student made film. I am of a family of low income and I live within two miles of the University.

At the end of this year I will have an associates degree in Accounting.

I currently go to Johnson and Wales University.

I want to transfer next year but I have no idea to where.

I heard that Its really hard to get out of JWU beacuse they teach there classes in a different order or something.

But I figured If I had an AS that It wouldent matter.

I plan to take as many community College Courses as possible to make up the difference (I haven't had many core classes)

I NEED to graduate with my bachelors in 2010, Ill feel like a bum if it took me 5 years to get a 4 year degree.

How can I pull this off. Any Tips?

I looked through the profiles of the faculty section of my marketing department- the credentials and differences in teaching are quite drastic. If you can help explain some of these, I'd really appreciate it.

1. Professor of Marketing vs. Associate Professor vs. Lecturer...and then some advise, others don't.

Isn't any college teacher- lecturer or not- by default called a professor? vs. in High School we just say Mr. and Mrs.? So my 2 options for college teachers would be Dr. or Professor?

2. Different academic credentials including:
Ph.D.
M.B.A.
M.A.
MSc
BSc
BBA
"advanced study"
"so and so # of grad hours"
Secondary teaching certificate
BSJ
B.S.- I know this is Bachelors of Science but is the correct phrase for all undergrad students: "I have a bachelor's degree in so and so" instead of maybe undergrad degree...

I'm getting to the point where i should start thinking about colleges and i want to go to a good school, i was thinking i want to apply to the air force academy, princeton, du, penn state, michigan state, berkely, university of chicago and maybe csu as a fallback i'm really interested in psychology but there's a good chance that i'll find another subject that i really care about as well. I want to go to a place thats easy to make friends, has a good campus, and will give me a very good education. It dosnt have to be perfect but i just want a place where i can learn and really enjoy college.
