I am currently enrolled in a community college and I want to transfer to Berkeley; however, I've heard that it's pretty hard to transfer to Berkeley if you don't have any leadership experience even if you have a 4.0 GPA. Is leadership experience crucial? or would any voluntary work be ok?

Also, is there any thing else I should do if I want to get in Berkeley?

You should apply or go ask a counselor there...I went to Sacramento City College, and then to UC Davis...the requirement was to have all the prerequisites including Eng 1C like writing a documentory or long paper on a topic...I took that at city and that was it...someone from Berkeley comes to your college and you should seek them out..and find out what is required...sometimes city colleges make you take a whole lot of courses you dont' need...hey also if there is a class you want at Davis....then you can come there by a bus supplied by the UC system that will take you and bring you back..once in a UC you can take classes in any one of them...for example say you are spending a semester in LA or Santa Barbara...you can take class there as well...

The top of the top got to Berkeley. What do you have besides a 4.0 because they all have that. Nothing much then you will not get in. Been there.
