If your in college, do you miss bring in high school? When I was in high school I wanted high school to be over already but now since I just started college I kinda miss those good old days in high school where everything was so laid back and easy.

I have an interview in two weeks for an program at my college where we do anything from give tours, be ushers at events, do things with alumni, etc. We are pretty much the "face of the school", model students rather. There are 77 applicants for 15 slots. It's highly competitive, I've already turned in the application with a resume and a personal statement as to why I am doing it and what skills I have to bring to the team. Now that you have the background information can you please give me typical interview questions and random interview questions that you might have had during interviews. Also any tips and advice are welcome. I haven't done many interviews (I'm only a freshman). Thanks in advance.

I am not sure which college to attend in the future.

Right now, I'm a sophmore taking six honors classes, and I play an instrument. Last year, I took five honors classes. I plan to take six honors classes and band during my last two years of high school. I am in a few clubs, but I'm also very shy, so I might a problem with teacher recommendations. One of my teachers said that I have a chance to become valedictorian. My SAT score is around 2200.

I am not very picky about the location or environment of universities, but I would like to go to a small - medium-sized one. Any suggestions on which universities that might be right for me?

I'm thinking about majoring in journalism. Would Spanish be a good minor? How about a double major? What are your thoughts?

What makes college better?

I certainly do, seeing as how U of C is my top choice for next year. Lately, though, I have been reading about frustrated U of C students who are tired of having their institution referred to as UIC. I also have read that some people will go as far as correcting people who say "I'm (I) going (go) to U of C," by saying "Oh, you mean UIC!"

Craziness!!

I've never been good in math. I've always had to struggle with anything above basic. I think I got it from my mother who had the same problem. This is why I gave up my dream of getting into med-school. I have 2 questions:

1. Is there ANY way a person who is not naturally good in math to improove to a point you can choose to study with a major engineering or medecine?

2. What can I as a "right-brained" person or a 'creative' person choose as major?
I want a stable and traditional job with a fairly decent salary in the future.

Thanks for reading.

hello I am wondering how much school counselors make during the year..elementary, jr. high and high school. ??and if they only work 9 months out of the year. (summer's off)
I work as an advisor at a college now and i absolutely love it. However I want to go for my masters in education and im thinking about counseling because i really like what I do now. I don't want to get a masters in teaching because I have been told that having a bachelors in elem/sec education pays the same as if you have a masters. (my bachelors is in business/finance). I would like to teach but at the university level. After my masteres I am thinking of getting my Ph.D. in TESL to teach english to foreign students. However I can't find schools who have a Doctorate program for Teaching English to Other Language speakers...

any ideas? :) thank YOU

i'm thinking of doing my masters in marketing right after my degree. i understand that most people get a couple of years of work experience first before they do their masters.
so if i were to go find a job with my masters degree , will i be stuck in a situation where i am overqualified for undergrad jobs.. yet not good enough to take up a position that requires a masters degree because of my lack of work experience?
