I would like to first to attend a community college in fear of not having enough money for college and also the fact that I heard its better to save money going to a community college first because your going to do the same thing you would at a Univeristy. But everyone says no your Univeristy material. Which is best to do first.

I have worked at a community college for 15 years and it is an excellent choice to start your higher education. A community college can cost much less than a university, in my area it's about 10% of the cost of the local university. Classes are smaller which gives students a much better chance to suceed. Instructors are much more approchable and easier to connect with. A few downsides to a community college is that they don't usually offer all the services of a larger unisversity, such as student health centers, fitness rooms, or research labs. Also be careful because not all community classes will transfer, such as vocational classes or community education classes. Overall a community college is a great way to get a higher education.

It would be much better to go to a highly rated university first rather than to a community college -- because it isn't true that you would get the same thing at the community college.

But if your university isn't highly rated, then two years of community college first followed by that university for two years would probably be about the same.

Many of the elite private schools don't accept very many transfers -- especially from community colleges. If you go to a community college, then you are pretty much limiting yourself to transferring to a state school in your home state.

I would go to a community college first because you save alot of money. Plus you will be able to get your associates degree while in community college. You can take all your core classes at a cheaper price.
