Well go to some social events like any school sporting events, or social gatherings. We had an International Students Day at the University of Kentucky. This is where students would wear their traditional clothing from their home country, and there would be talks and activities about and on various cultural groups that went to college here. Like there would be things on England, Japan, India, China, and so on. It was good. Also when you go to class get there a little early if you can. Then when people come in and sit down by you say hello and just be nice. Chances are you will begin to meet and know people in your classes. Also if there is a group having a study session ask if you could join them for it. That is a good way to meet people and learn more for a test. Find out where people your age in college go on the weekends and what they do. Then maybe try and go to a place or two and see if you like it and you can meet people there. The thing is be friendly, nice and just be yourself. Remember to study! If you need some tips on like how to study history better and easier just let me know. I graduated with a degree in history from the University of Kentucky this past May. I kinda miss not being there this fall! Just click on my pic and then send me an e-mail, if I can help you any. Well I wish you the best of luck in school and just be yourself and don't be to shy to talk some to people. It's nice when people take an interest in others. Good luck! =)
