So, what makes college students broke? Is it that they have to pay for school that makes them broke? Or is it their spending habits? Cuz I'm a new college student, and I got my financial aid and everything, and so I got all that money. But if most students get at least some financial aid, why are they broke? Is it the "partying"? Or what is it?

Most students don't get aid, most have to take out loans. And school is so much to begin with, and then th elimited hours at work, due to homework and school time, and then the food, and all the other bills oyu would have otherwise. It all adds up, and a lot end up with drinking problems and end up spending all their money going out and drinking.

It's nice if you got enough money to pay for everything, but not everyone does. I've had students who had to choose between books and eating.
