In my school students can begin taking A.P. classes in their sophmore year (10th grade). Teachers for the most part recomend you into the class or you can ask your guidence counsler for assistance. Usually students in honors classes end up in AP classes.....so keep your grades up and get ready for the hard work of AP classes and the fact that you may be taking more than one maybe even two in a year, this year im taking four and it can become stressful if you do not manage your time. Good luck and if your schools like mine you still have some time to get in to A.P. classes

Im a sophomore and i couldnt take APs until this year... 8th and 9th graders cannot take APs... but when u can, ur school will announce it and u pick up a form, which is usually teacher rec. and grades... they do not look at star scores.

Call the academic counselor at your school, or the high school you will attend. They will tell you what you have to do to get into the AP classes in their school. For sure, though, bring your Bs up to As. It's worth the work.
