Is Brown University recognized world wide?

Does the school have international regonition? Is there anyone here from abroad that has heard of Brown University? If not then what American colleges are best known worldwide?

US News & World Reports ranks Brown University at #14 in the country. It doesn't have quite the recognition worldwide that Harvard or Princeton has -- but it is a very well respected school -- as are all the schools in the Ivy League.
