teaching is the most obvious and possibly the most simple to get into. to do anything else in French you will have to be very motivated. you can be a tour guide, a translator, work for the United Nations as a translator, be a diplomat. there are many civil service and government jobs. you could be a buyer for a company with interests in French-speaking countries.

A foreign language (particularly French, where it is spoken Quebec, and countries in Europe and Africa) is a huge asset to many careers. Of course teaching is a possibility, but careers in business, foreign diplomacy, and sales consider knowledge of a second language to be a HUGE asset.

Furthermore, even if you choose not to work in a field that fully utilizes your language skills, the fact that you have communications skills is highly attractive to employers. We live in a society where very few of us actually enter the profession we set out for at the beginning of our studies. Don't stress too much-it's normal, but it will all fall into place.

Bonne Chance!
