I want to be an Ob/gyn. How hard is it to really become one?
Of course it won't be easy but everyone makes pre-med and med school sound impossible.

Any advice is appreciated!

I am a junior in high school and am in one honors and AP course of which I have a A in both. But I moved a lot in my previous years in high school and had to take standard classes of which I pretty much got straight A's in. I am taking 4 AP's my senior year and am in the National Honor Society, Foreign Language Honor Society, and have a Principal's Achievement Award. I also have been on the High Honor Roll every Quarter sice the beginning of my sophmore year. I have also done volunteer and community service work along with extra curriculars this year and next. I am also going to graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors Designation and also with the title of Language Distinction (for taking 5 years of foreign language) And you have to live in NY to know what Regents is lol) Basically it is standardized tests of different subjects that every student in the state of NY has to take. Do I have a good chance of getting into a SUNY school???

I've heard this a lot on this site, but I've yet to hear of a good definition. I know it refers to a generally unreputable college or university that hands out diplomas to students who didn't really earn them, but how do I know a school is a diploma mill? And does the term refer exclusively to private colleges, or are some state universities considered diploma mills?

Thanks.

According to the college board the average tuition cost for a four year college is around $20,000. In other countries such as Switzerland, Canada, Spain etc. it's not even half of that. Is there any specific reason for this?

I am currently majoring in English, but I'm wondering if there is a better major (aside from Pre-law because I'm not 100% sure yet) out there for someone who may decide upon Law school.

I am not ready for college yet I'm still in 7th grade. But I it is never too early to look at colleges. I went to Miami (Ohio) and I really liked the campus but I was wondering what the general public thinks about Miami. I would really love to hear answers from Alumni but anyone may answer. Just tell me your thoughts on the school.

After I was offered an interview to this school (it went very well), I was denied admission and was not given any reason for my denial. My gpa and my extra-curriculars are well above what the school requires. Can I appeal this decision, or am I just over-reacting?
