After I was offered an interview to this school (it went very well), I was denied admission and was not given any reason for my denial. My gpa and my extra-curriculars are well above what the school requires. Can I appeal this decision, or am I just over-reacting?

Being offered an interview is in NO way a guarantee that you will be offered a seat at the college. The admission to Colleges of Pharmacy these days is very competitive and it is doubtful that just being above the minimum standards is enough to get you in unless you have some other very outstanding qualification.

Very few colleges have any kind of appeal process for their admission decisions but they probably explain on their website whether there is any such process. And they are not legally obliged, nor is there any way to compel them to explain why someone else was chosen instead of you.

At many competitive schools the number of people applying is VERY much greater than the number that can be accepted. Many thousands of qualified students are turned away. That is just a fact of academic life in America today.

It is also like that for me. I was offered an interview for a university degree and no reply after that. I guess you have to take up others offers of pharmacy at another university. You can try appealing through Hampton university website. I am not too sure about success rates.

sure rutgers pharmacy grants admission for college pupils quickly out of highschool and likely the 0-6 software ensures admission in case you have a 2.8+ GPA on the top of each and every semester and which you bypass the interview they provide you on the top of your 2nd pre-expert year. its quite tougher to get in. and its only getting complicated by the year. each year only 200ish pupils are admitted. its almost impossible to pass by fact spots are merely open whilst human beings drop out. i heard each year there are merely approximately 5 transfers. and transfers only take place after the 2nd year and thats it.

I think you deserve a answer as to why they would deny you, but, maybe this school is not where you really should be sometimes things don't go as we plan, but they do go the way god plans so figure out where he wants you and that will be the best school good luck.

Contact them and ask what went wrong. If they promised you a place on the condition that you did this and that, and you did those things, then yes. If not, it might be as simple as they had more students with better marks that were better.

I thnk that you are entitled to know the reason for the denial and that if asked they will provide it. At that point you can decide upon your next step.
