I have always had to have a math tutor in school. Should i persue this or should I look for something else entirely? Any advice?

Yes, you will need to be fairly good at math. You will be responsible for calculating dosages of medicine and maybe even IV solutions. I am not trying to discourage you but I recently graduated with a degree as a Medical Assistant and in my Pharmacology class, there were a lot of math problems. It is critical that doses are calculated correctly. One mistake can cost someone their life. Good luck in whatever you decide!

I don't work in the field so I may be well off base but I would think chemistry would be a big part of the degree. As I recall from my college chemistry (now I am going to tell my age) I carried my slide rule constantly. I think I was always doing some sort of math calculation for that damn class.

Check the college catalog for an indication of what classes are required and base your decision on that.

And Good Luck. BTW, it is nice to see someone looking forward to their career and trying to make their education match. It alarms me how often I see a question on here asking about what sort of job a person can get with a particular degree. That sounds a bit like having the cart before the horse.

in case you're an quite stable student different than math, then you definately ought to evaluate actual therapy, or how approximately Social artwork? yet being something in pharmacy in case you're actually not stable in math may be an extremely undesirable theory. you're able to make up all varieties of ideas and combinations and calculate the percentages and proportions. One mistake ought to kill somebody. Please are not getting entangled in pharmacy!

Pharm Techs don't have to do a lot of math. Just be competent with proportions and basic algebra, and you'll be okay. The certification exam has many math problems on it.
