I've been admitted to law school in Illinois in the fall for full-time status. That means I'll have to go to school during the day. But, would it be possible to also carry my retail management position at 44 hours per week? I've, of course, looked at student loans and will borrow the maximum 24,200.00 that is allowed for the 2007-2008 academic year. But, I'm worried such won't be enough. Many individuals tell me full-time work and full-time law school will be almost impossible. Will law studies be THAT time consuming? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

I enjoy writing, reading as well as political science. However, my parents said that I must not take political science so my second choice will be either journalism or English. The problem is my SAT score is not good in the critical reading (around 460?) and far more worst in writing section (300-350). I've been in Canada for a year and my GPA is 3.80. I got 80 for my English. I am a non-native speaker of English and grammar is my weakness though I can communicate well enough as well as write a good essay (ignoring the grammar). So, what should I do? If my TOEFL score is 95, can they ignore my failure in SAT? Which university suit me?

I have acquired about 20 college credits at an in-state public university (school A), where I had a sub-par GPA( 2.8 ) and I plan on transferring to a Community College and going for a half year and then enrolling a different in-state public university (school B). The policy of the Community College is to accept credits above a 2.0 average but only count grades acquired at the Community College into GPA. . After that half year (+summer courses) I will enroll in a Biomedical program at School B.

This is where it gets tricky, the only Medical School in state is at school A, so my question is, though through transferring my GPA would be reset and should allow me to be accepted into school A's medical school, would my previous grades at school A have any ill effect on my application, though they should be (at least paper-wise) nullified when it comes to my true overall GPA? It is my understanding medical schools are more separate from the other colleges, but looking for some advice.
