I currently go to dallas county community college.

I have 3.74 GPA, and don't have extra curriculum.

I want to transfer to McComb business school.

I've heard that they require very high GPA like 3.8 or something.

Can I get into UT McComb with my 3.74 GPA?

Also, I'll get associate degree this semester

TeS = Tech School
The Tech School (TeS) in TX was not an accredited school when I graduated w/an AAS. When I moved to LV, NV, the attending College would review my TeS transcripts only if I wanted any credits to transfer, if not, I was instructed to place on my school paperwork that I did not have a degree from any other institution. In returning to TX, we discovered TeS now is an accredited school. Because of that my husband gave his TeS transcript to his attending College for review and they accepted everything, which was a few basics (he wanted to skip) and *a lot* of extra credit classes - he couldn't pick & choose what classes transferred (classes I would retake for better grades and would still need more basics). While this sounds silly at age 32, I'm not happy w/my TeS GPA but I am of my LV GPA (4.0). If I do the same as I did in LV here, can I just transfer my LV classes & grades and or will a flag alert them to a degree from TeS in TX (since my attending college is in TX)?

My friend suggested that I take o-chem and become a biochemist. I am taking the class and I am an engineering student. It is too much memorization. Any advise on not going insane.

I'm having a dilemma. I'm almost finished with my senior year of high school and I'm not exactly sure what I want to do. Calling all doctors out there: How was your med school experience? Can I succeed in the medical field even though I don't excel in math and science? Any advice?

I'm chinese, female and studying in singapore. Under the a lvls system, tons of pple get 4 As everyyear. What can i do to improve my chances of going to an ivy league university? what are the admission criteria? dont tell me that i would need to know someone who's been there because i obviously do not have such connections. also, scholarships in ivy league are decided on a need base. however these are only given to either usa citizens or pr. where can an international student(i'm not sure if i can be counted since i've studied in singapore all my life) get financial assitance?

Hi! I'm a college student, and I find it extremely difficult to sit down, get to work, and get anything accomplished. Has anyone ever had this problem? I can't get any work done in my room, and other places don't seem to be much better. It seems as though the only time I get things done is when I am on a tight deadline and must FORCE myself to get things done. It would be nice if, for once in a change, I could find it in me to start working on projects and papers a few days ahead of time as opposed to midnight the night before it is due. I don't believe I have taken ritalin before. What do you all do when you need to focus?

I've been trying to figure out if i have a chanc of attending a decent college.
I've immigrated to the U.S. from israel at the start of my frehsman year. I moved 3 highschools already and its really hard to keep up the grades. Now i'm a junior with a GPA of 3.00. I havnt taken the SAT yet because i know i would do horrible on it. The vocab are really hard for fluent english speakers, and for me it seems like its just impossible to master. Also i havnt taken a geomerty class yet, i am planning to my senior year and i know the SAT has alot of geomerty questions.

Bottom line is, i am so worried i don't know what to do. I see all the other students that take AP classes while i'm a junoir taking english 3-4 because my english is not well enough. I've talked to my caunselor and she tells me i'm fine but i don't believe her. Seems like she just wants to get rid of me and go on to the next student.

Anybody has any good advice of what should i do from here to have a get into college?

I'm a junior in high school and I am trying to come up with a list of colleges to look into. I am open to all sorts of suggestions. I think that I want to go to a school that is in or near a city (I'm from Vermont, we have nothing here!) and is fairly selective. I have a 4.165 GPA and I'm 5th in my class. I take all advanced/AP class and I play two sports (lacrosse and field hockey), I'm on the math team and a member of the Honors Program. I'm also the President of my church youth group. Any suggestions for me? I'm a little lost.

My school offers AP's in:
1. Calculs
2. U.S. History
3. English
4. Spanish
5. Bio
6. Art

I will take AP spanish my junior year. A combination of two of these classes: Calculus, Bio, U.S. History, English.

Will it hurt me to get into schools such as American University or Syracuse?

Will it also hurt me if I re-take bio or us history because I have already taken them as honors courses.

I took a couple of online career tests to find out what is the best career for me and I'm not happy with the results. For example, it said one of the careers I could do is be a biochemist engineer. I never said anything in the test about like science at all! None of the career options satisfied me at all. Maybe the test is not accurate. What should I do?
