Higher Education (University +) - February 2007

I have not done so well in high school. My current GPA is 2.50 and I have three Ds as semester grades. After high school I plan on attending a community college, Diablo Valley College (DVC), and then transferring to San Jose State University.

Will I be accepted? I've been told that state colleges do not accept students with Ds nor Fs but that they are also easier to get into. If I do really really well in DVC and plan on transferring to SJSU, will they accept me?

I'm in ninth grade and I'm really interested in phychiatry. What kind of classes should I take in my high school career? Also, do you have to have really hard math or just science? Plus, I'm looking into going to NYU to study phychiatry, what kind of grades do I need?

hi guys, i'm currently a high school junior right now and my GPA is about 3.5ish unweighted and a 3.66 weighted.. i believe it is going to get higher when the second semester ends.
i wonder if i meet cornell's gpa requirement for the hotel school?
i'm planning on taking a few more APs my senior year, is it too late to take the AP courses my senior year(i am taking one now)?

im interested in studying in australia, i've just graduated from high school, i want to know all the institutions in australia that provides medicine for undergraduates. im not from NZ or australia, so i know i won't need to take UMAT. i just really want to know what are the institutions that provides undergrad med... the obvious ones i know like melbourne, monash...but apparently there are some smaller ones too..can you please help me? thanks ^^

I'm really interested in biological psychology and the process of the mind and behavior in both humans and animals. Massachusetts Institute of Technology seems to have a great program in Brain and Cognitive Sciences and I was wondering if anyone else knew of any other great science schools that I could look into. I'm 19 years old and im in college at the moment and i only have a total of 4 hours college credit. I feel alot of pressure from peers that im behind everyone else. My first semester was a flop because i took so many hours i just fell behind. I realized this semester to just take it slow and pass these 2 courses im taking. Maybe in the future ill get used to it and can take more, for now i feel like im just getting far behind.

i want to get into an IV league school for collage how can i do this i am in 9th grade now and my grades are all b's then 2 c's and 1 D!!!! is it still possible to get into a good collage if my over all year grade is good [ thats when they average all ur term grades and that is your year end grade ??? please help anyone with anything thanks.

I'm 19. I know I should have decided which college to attend by my senior year in high-school, but it's been a year since graduation and I finally have money and time.

I want to go to college in Southern California, but I don't know which one. I am going to be majoring in Psychology (counseling), so a school with a good psych program would be preferable. I like big cities, and would love to live in Los Angeles, or a city like it.

Also, does anyone know the general price of an education in a state college? The private college I was briefly enrolled in, then had to leave for financial reasons, was 22,000 dollars a year, tuition alone. A state college will be cheaper, right?
