I prefer the vocational school. The classes are smaller and it's more one on one. But the only problem with the business vocational schools is they are not transferable to alot of universities and alot of people do not really consider it a college since they are all fairly new types of schools. I think if I did do it over I would probably go to a state college instead of the business vocational type schools even though I enjoyed it.

I think it's always better to have college credits and a college degree. Also, if you're looking for student grants, you have a better chance if you're applying to a college. Vocational schools in the long run can be more expensive than state universities or city colleges.

Many community colleges have associates degrees with more vocational themes and objectives, yet the credits are transferrable if you decide to transfer to a four-year college. I think an A.S is better than being a college drop-out, and you can always continue if you want.

this depends on you, and how serious you take school. If you are unsure of your major and don't know how much schooling you can handle: then go with the Vocational school for starters. A university is overall better. but it requires you to be more commited. If your gonna go for it, you might as well go all the way. I have went to both a votech and a university. The university was WWAAYY better but i am also VERY dedicated....

College is better - but if you don't have the aptitude for college then a vocational school is a great alternative.

Good Luck!!!

it really depends on what you are interesting in. if you want to be a mechanic, then obviously a large 4 year university isn't the right place for you. go to whatever school has the best program for you. if you want to go into masonry, then find the best school for that, which will probably be a vocational school.
