I have a Bachelor's degree and I am interested in going to grad school and becoming a college professor. Somehow, however, I don't know what kind of education I would need! I would prefer to teach English or a related field. Should I get a Master's degree in English, or a Master's degree in some kind of an educatory field? I feel silly for not understanding this, perhaps someone can help me.

What happens if you get an "incomplete" grade for a college course? Obviously it can't affect your GPA, but will it stay on your transcript if you simply just take the course again next semester? I took taxation 350 last semester and it was a disaster, did learn anything from the profess and...got the incomplete because we had to write a term paper with a partner and my partner never helped out (team term papers weird huh?) so if the incomplete doesnt stay on my transcript I was thinking of just "forgetting" about the class and taking it with a different professor over the summer.

I am 17 and I do not feel ready to go to one of my choices of college and I feel I need to do some more preparing. I have 2 D's on my transcript, my grades aren't perfect, they aren't bad but the colleges I want to go to are very competitive. But I have great SAT scores. Anyway, my parents are always questioning why I won't go straight to UCLA, NYU or USC but those are competitive schools. I've applied but I highly doubt I will get in. My parents don't even know my grades and haven't been paying attention to my progress in school ever since I got in high school. I feel that transferring from Santa Monica is right for me but they keep trying to convince me to do otherwise, none of them attended college. Only my brother and he's a little more supportive. But everytime I ask them why are they so against me doing that and they never have an answer. My teacher also told me it's good to transfer because a lot of freshman in college aren't even ready for it. I just feel it's right for me.

Ok so here is the deal…….

I have written a college essay and I need someone to revise it for me. I am not good with writing, editing or cleaning up essays. I have an English based learning disability so it is very hard for me to do these kinds of things. I spell like a 10 year old. I really don’t have anyone to edit for me, I mean my family is always busy and I am home school so I do not have the resources other kids my age have.

If you are interested in helping me I would greatly appreciate it. My essay is not that long, and I guarantee you will not be bored while reading it. This would mean so much to me. You can obtain my essay by emailing me @ BrettMHannan@msn.com.

And don’t worry I am not perusing a career that has to do with English, I want to be a civil engineer (mostly all math :-])

Thanks in advance,
Your friendly Brett

I really want to be a doctor, but I`m not sure if I want to go for school for that long. Did you have any hint of a life in your twenties at all, or was it just work and study? When did you have any time to enjoy your twenties? Would you make the choice to go to college that long if you could go back and do it again? Give me information that might help. Pros and cons of going to school for that amount of time. I know medical school is hard, but is it so hard that I`ll barely be able to keep up (I`m a good student, but its not like I`m super-genius. I didn`t skip a grade or anything like that). Basically tell me about your lifestyle while you were in college.

Thanks for the help.

In my past 7 years of practicing post law school, I have rarely if ever looked back on these materials, yet I feel that discarding them will also be discarding my legal education. I'd like to clear the clutter, but I would hate to one day regret not having the materials to look back on. Keep or toss?

I like learning about law. I wanted to be a forensic psychologist, but now I am thinking about changing my mind. What else can I do in the criminal justice/law field? Is there anything I could do with a criminal justice major and a minor in psychology?
