I started my degree at 38 and completed it with Honours, six years later, part time. I followed that with a postgrad course over the next two years, part time. There is a woman I know who has just completed a PhD at 73. It took her nine years.
It is never too late to start and you will have a lot of fun while you are doing it.

25 is not too old to start grad school. The time it takes to finish a doctorate varies from as few as 3 or 4 years to as long as 7 or 8, depending upon the program you are in and if you are full time or part time. Good Luck!

Not at all! The time it takes to finish depends on the graduate program. I would say an average of 4 to 6 years to get the PhD. I'm 27 and will (hopefully) begin work towards my PhD in the fall of 2007. I went straight from the BA to the MA, took a few years off now I'm ready to return! God luck. :-)

It is never too old to begin graduate school. How old you will be depends on a lot of factors including the kind of program, whether you are working at the same time you are going to graduate school, etc. My guess is you will be at least 28 or 29.

No way! I'm 24 and I'll be starting to grad school this summer. I have a friend who will be starting this summer too and she's 29. To get your doctorate's you'll probably finish when you're about 29 or so, but it depends on how many classes you take.
