Higher Education (University +) - January 2007

I would like to become a post-secondary teacher of biology/human anatomy. I am attending a community college, right now for basics. My boyfriend is finishing up basic training and we are wanting to get engaged and married in the next 4 years, but I will still be in college. And I am wondering if it will be hard to transfer schools. And what if he is stationed overseas? Do colleges overseas transfer credits from America?

I'm twenty years old, and I dropped out of college awhile ago because I had to look for a job.

I need to work to support my family so I don't have the time to pursue higher education, although I certainly want to. However, I want to know if it will be harder to compete with people who went to a traditional college.

Also, does anyone actually know how expensive it is to attend?

Thanks

I was just snubbed by a local Community College.
Only one 'Reading 0311' class "made" rather than two, and the assignment went to the person who had teaching experience (i.e. not myself). In your opinion, should I have gotten the position?

I have:
I. B.A. (HIgh Honors; Honors Program) with majors in philosophy and political science
and a minor in English literature
II. M.A. (3.8 GPA) English literature with a minor in political science
III. A year at a top tier law school
IV. Over a dozen lectures (as an independent scholar or as part of an academic conference)
V. Fluency in four languages

The other person has:
I. B.A. in English literature (no honors)
II. M.A. in English Literature (GPA under 3.5)
III. Participated in ONE academic conference as a presenter

My undergraduate Uni. is ranked higher than the one she graduated from with her B.A. . We got our M.A.s at the same Uni.

Find an article in a newspaper or website (e.g. http://news.bbc.co.uk/)
which gives the results of a survey. Determine the population of interest,
how sampling was carried out and how big a sample was chosen.
Summarise the results. Say whether you think the survey was well conducted
or whether there were aspects of it which make you wary about
accepting the results

But before that I want to move abroad, so that I can earn good to establish the business, so that there would be less of hassles on the monetory front.

Also, I wish to do an MBA, for the same cause. So, what I feel this moment is to go for GMAT, that would probably provide me admission in any of the renouned university in US, UK, Australia, Canada or any other European country. Please suggest me, am I making a right move, as well as, about other related formalities.

Could anyone can help me to revise this paragraph? The due date is tomorrow...
Your help will be very meaningful for me.
In the space provided below, please describe which of these activities has had the most meaning for you, and why.
I was elected as the president of the class of 2007 in high school. My job was to supervise students as they participated in school and community activities and to coordinate teachers that give students academic helps. I organized the 2005 New Year’s Overnight Carnival and assisted members of my class to participate in the 2005 High School Art Festival, the 2005 High School Sports Meeting, the 2005 High School Debate Contest, and the 2005 High School Fashion Show. I also established a strong friendship between students in my high school and the Children in Laurel Orphanage. Moreover, I have successfully coordinated with teachers to develop a Night Classes program which had given extra help for many students who were struggling in their schoolwork.

So this is my first semester in gradschool, everything is new, i dont even know what im suppose to study on. There are no exams, but all projects and readings. On top of that, im 23, everyone is about 30 and in the prime of their careers, so talk about being intimidated. Now, i dont know if i like the professor, he acts like a ******** up there. He said it himself, he is not an ACADEMIC but a CONSULTANT. I dont know.... he just doesnt feel like a professor, more like a sales man. On my other class, the professor was great, so I thinking its probably not adjustment on my part. So im wondering if I should risk my GPA and suck it up.. or drop him and find another class. I cant believe the college hires professors that doesnt have real people skills... Brains are good, but you need to personality to deliver it... He is like a walking textbook to me.
