So this is my first semester in gradschool, everything is new, i dont even know what im suppose to study on. There are no exams, but all projects and readings. On top of that, im 23, everyone is about 30 and in the prime of their careers, so talk about being intimidated. Now, i dont know if i like the professor, he acts like a ******** up there. He said it himself, he is not an ACADEMIC but a CONSULTANT. I dont know.... he just doesnt feel like a professor, more like a sales man. On my other class, the professor was great, so I thinking its probably not adjustment on my part. So im wondering if I should risk my GPA and suck it up.. or drop him and find another class. I cant believe the college hires professors that doesnt have real people skills... Brains are good, but you need to personality to deliver it... He is like a walking textbook to me.

I have a good friend from Europe who wants to continue his studies in the U.S. (Currently in high school, would like to finish in U.S.) He did research on the student visas, and saw that there are some restrictions for the F-1 student visas such as paying a "per capita" fee/tuition to the school which ranges anywere between $3000 to $10,000. This would be too costly for him. So, my question is, could he apply for a J-1 (exchange student) visa and use it to go to a public high school and live with his aunt there? Any info. would be really helpful! Thanks!

i started out going to community college, not really giving it 100% because going to school full time and working full time is really hard & time consuming.. at night after a whole day of changing tires and oil changes and workin on 24'' rims all day ur back starts to hurt and u cant study enough / get enough sleep to wake up to go to school in the morning.. so i got a few W's and also a few F's (2) due to meetin drop deadline too late.. Well right as of now i have around a 2.0 GPA in 3 Semesters..i wanted to become a PHARMACIST. I know to get there is ALOT OF HARD WORK & good grades required. i finally am gonna put EVERYTHING aside and work my AS S off in school, gonna give it my all, 24/7 .. but my question is CAN i even do this anymore since my 2/3 Semesters at my JC i started off with a bad start? is there anyway to make up these F's or should i give up my path, and choose something more realistic due to my fck up start =( i wish i could start over.. i did good in HS though..

Here in Australia for medical school, they say you need a GPA of 6.0. This 6.0 is out of a possible 7.

What is the GPA in America out of? 7? 5?

What is the GPA required for a graduate wanting to go into medicine?

K, I'm a terrible high school student (junior) but only because I don't do anything and I'm uberly lazy when it comes to school work. I COULD do really well, I'm really bright, but instead of writing my english homework, I read War and Peace- thats why I'm so bad. But I have a plan. See, there is a local community college. If I take a years worth of college over the summer (which I could handle) could I apply to a college with that and point to that and say, in efffect, "Ignore my high school stuff?" My high school only allows 20 credits to be transfered to my high school transcript, so I'm wondering if I could apply with a community college one instead of the high school one. Me and my schemes...but seriously, its people like me who scheme from Day one who pull it off, I'm telling you.

I am still shaky in what kind of medical field I should go into. So I have TWO choices: Dematologist or Oncologist?

From the reference that I've heard is, being a Dermatologist is very difficult. And Oncologist, is the most needed in medical field...

So based on their salary, employment range (easy to get into), and requirements...

What is BETTER?

P.S. ThankYouALL, who've answered my prev. questions. helped me lot >_< "Sorry for errors!"
