(Short Service Commission)

Age Limit :- 18 to 28 years

Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics)

Engineering Degree in Electronics/ Telecommunications/ Electrical/ Electrical Communication/ Electronics and Communication/ Computer Science &
Engineering or a combination of these subjects OR

B Tech in Radio Physics and Electronics of Calcutta University OR

M Sc Physics with Electronics of Bombay University OR

M Sc Electronics of Delhi, Bangalore, Madras, Gujarat, Lucknow or
Calcutta University OR

B Sc with Physics, Maths and Chemistry AND must have passed one
of the following :-
** AMIE or equivalent qualification Electronics/ Electrical/ Telecommunication/ Radio Engineering/ Avionics/ Associate Membership Examination of Aeronautical Society of India with Avionics Communication AND
*** Must possess a minimum of two years practical experience in Electronics
discipline in a recognised servicing/ manufacturing organisation.

Engineering Degree in Aeronautical/ Mechanical/Production/
Industrial Production OR

B Sc with Physics, Maths and Chemistry AND must have passed
one of the following :-
** AMIE or equivalent qualification or Associate Membership Examination
Part II and II of Aeronautical Society of India with Group I (Design and Production) or Group II (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) subjects AND
****** Must possess a minimum of two years practical experience in Electronics discipline in a recognised servicing/ manufacturing organisation.




Air Force Academy


Advertisement Itinerary :- Applications are called for twice a year in the month of
January and July through advertisement published in the leading newspapers/
Employment News.





Entrance :-Through Psychological Tests, Group Tests and an Interview conducted
at any one of the Air Force Selection Boards located at Dehradun, Mysore or Varanasi
for a period of 4 to 6 days at our cost. Prior to attending the AFSB tests a Screening
Test (Engineering Knowledge Test) for all eligible candidates at your own cost is
conducted at various Air Force units all over the country. Only those candidates who
pass this Screening Test are eligible to appear in the AFSB tests. Once recommended
by the AFSB’s a Medical Examination as per standards laid down is conducted at either
Air Force Central Medical Establishment, New Delhi or Institute of Aviation Medicine,
Bangalore. After clearing the medical examination, a merit list is prepared and
selection for the course is strictly as per the Merit.
