In order to become a grammar or secondary school teacher, one must earn a bachelor's degree, with a major in education. This takes 4 years. Many teachers choose to get a Master's degree as well, and this takes 2 more years.

College professors must hold a PhD. This means that after their bachelor's degree, they must go to graduate school for anywhere between 5 and 8 years.

It is still possible to become a community college professor with only a Master's degree, but this is less prevalent today.

A teacher would be like four years maybe. But I don't know how many years it will be for a professor, because I don't know what kind.

It all depends on what kind of professor or teacher you want to be.
