I heard that 70 % of the students dont make it. Is it because they didn't work hard and slack off or was it because it was too hard. Did they lack determination?they werent optomistic?
Those who made it to med school were what type of students? I want to be in med school in the future

Will I be accepted to UCLA with the following?
I speak French fluently and I am the first person in my family to go to college. I have a weighted GPA of 4.12 academic GPA 3.7 . By the end of my senior I would have taken 13 exams passing 7 exams. I was the president of the French club and this year I am the president of the European Club. I played in the advanced Jazz band my junior year only because it was difficult( I played the piano). I took two other foreign languages at school. spanish 1-2,3-4,AP Language, this year AP Span lit.(only non-native in class), also took german 7-8 got a B both semesters(studied a lot over the summer). Language and music are my hobbies. However I was not in sports. I have a low SAT of 1630 and ACT composite 23. I did 50 hours community service. Volunteered 150 hours as teacher's aide and outside work. I also went to Long Beach City college in the summer of my sophmore year to take Intermediate Algebra and Spanish 3. As a result I am in AP Span Lit

But in the whole world muslims are suffuring deaths, meseries, choes and wounds. i know that its all the muslim community of today who is responsible for all this. Allah says to Unite but we are disintigrating ouverselvs. Allah says love others but we so muslims are thirsty of blood of our beloved ones. we are muslim but we are slauthoring our daughtrs, wives, mothers and committing suicides, i am Pakistani. We are Muslim but where is Islam (as i cannot find a person i can question and find the solution of my problems, for example i have commited a sin but in 21st centry i cannot admit it or i will be killed and it did not happened in the history of Islam. at this time i am only human and want to be the part of community which thinks for others and is sympathetic. i also know that i NEED PATIENCE WHICH WILL LEAD ME TO GOD BUT HOW CAN I GET PATIENCE HOW DO I CARRY ON BELIEVEOHTERS.

Well i'm a senior in high school in desperate search of a major and career.

Is the myth that "everyone does psychology in college and its super hard to find a good paying job afterwards" true?

what career options are there for psychology majors that pay decently?

thanks

This is a poll of sorts. I'm interested in responses from international students who have studied beyond RIBA Part 1 level. I'm asking for responses ONLY from international students because of pertinent factors such as support (essential for such a demanding course) and economic issues (sorry, but fees of approximately 10k a year are serious determining factors for a course of this length and intensity).

I have had many international friends who were discouraged in droves due to their experience at architecture school. They weren't dim either, but architecture is a cultural phenomenon and culture differences should be taken into account. Now, should any of you good souls be so kind as to brave typing on the keyboard with all that caffeine pumping through your veins and making you all jittery...I'd appreciate it immensely.

What was your learning experience like? How supportive were staff/ tutors of the establishment? Let me know please.

A very happy new year to all.

am a freelance writer who works for magazines but I'm tired of making peanuts and would like to take a course in copywriting. I'm considering sending away for the course offered by the American Writers and Artists Institute. it costs $507 and is said to be excellent. They even claim to help their "graduates" get copywriting jobs afterwards. Anyone out there finished the course and got a job through them? Any other at home copywriting courses you want to recommend? I have my first copywriting job lined up and I have no idea what I'm doing.

I'm in college for my general requirements right now.
I have an idea about what I want to take my studies
up in, but I'm not completely sure that's what I want
to major in. So if anyone would be so helpful in giving
me an idea of which grad degrees make the most
money it would sure be a lot of help.

I am applying to a selective school and I have a few concerns. I went to community college 3 years ago, for one year, and my GPA was 3.3. One year later I went off to college, lived in the dorms did horrible! I guess you could say I failed all but a few classes. Just recently, I have been going to community college again for one year and doing great! I am mature enough to pursue a university and I am going to apply shortly. Because the university I am going to apply to is very selective, I am not going to put on the application the year where I did horrible. Is there anyway this college will find out that I went there? Is there any kind of records or database that says I went to that school? Both the schools are on different coasts. Please don’t tell me that the college may forgive me for that one year or look past it, because this school won’t look past it. I just want to know if there is any kind of tracking system?

I go to a community college and all their precalculas classes are full. I need to enroll in precal, so I can take cal 1, 2, and 3; and cal 1 is a needed for physics. I also signed up for trignometry for next spring. The advisor said I should beable to take trig and precal at the same time despite how difficult it will be. What are my options? Is there places where I can take the course and have creditied at my college? They don't offer it in summer which means it can set me back another year. That's three years now in community college--not to mention I was held back by my parents(the school would have promoted me to the first grade), So i'm already behind my age group--and then another two years at UF. I'm 20 years old, most college students are 21-22 when they graduate with their bachelors and me: I will be graduating with mine at about the age of 24. Big deal? I think so. I just want to hurry up and transfer to UF for a two year plan in computer science and move on with my life.

I just finished my 3rd semester in college and I did really badly last semester (pretty much all Ds). I know that I'm smart; In high school I had a 3.5 gpa or higher.

I'm finding it very easy to get extremely lazy and to just stop caring in college. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can maintain that drive to do well that I had in high school? Anything at all would be helpful.
