Higher Education (University +) - December 2006

I was wondering and since when i started college my vocab level was only around the 19th grade level on the nelson denny(considering we were taking exams and i did not finish it the first time and tested above 14.3 or 14.2 i left 15 questions blank and am naturally left handed) i guess my question would be



if you have a million dollars i know it's 4 million quarters if you have a million quarters i know it's 250000 dollars what if you were convering this in that you have 1000000 cents?this is very confusing or maybe what would it be in nickels or a million nickels,etc.?thanks.

I'm in a master's program now, but want to apply to a poli sci phd program and can't find many decent schools that will accept a fair amount of my master's work. Most schools only accept 6 credits or whatever, which really seems like a waste of my time to retake a lot of the classes i took for my MA. Know any schools that will at least give me credit for 24 credits or more?

I love my course and wouldn't change my mind with the uni course. But on the social side, its the end of the 1st semester and I see people going out all the time, while I'm stuck in alone, feeling lonely. Any advice or views?

I'm looking to possibly start doing a total online RN nursing degree if possible and if I can afford it. I already have a Bachelors in Sociology and not sure if any of my credits will transfer. Can anyone recommend a school that is legit (preferrably not University of Phoenix, etc.) but rather a larger well-known university that may have all of its classes online? I know it is a long shot, but never hurts to ask! Thanks so much, and if you can provide a website for me to look at that will help your chances at getting the 10 points. =)

Of these, which area of study would be the most flexible and allow me a large window of career opportunities? I am not a math or science person so please don't pick any of the sciences, nursing, or math. I think I would like to work with the elderly in some way, possible as an Activities Director/Coordinator or an Events Planner. Thanks for your help.

Neither of my parents act happy for me that i got accepted to the college i applyed for...basiclly because they know that bc i am furthering my school education they will have to pay childsupport on me while im still in school.....i dont know what to think...shouldn't they be happy for me or proud of me for this accomplishment? neither of my parents graduated high school....

I'm currently taking my Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN) in the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. I was just wondering if I finish it would it be credited in the US or would i have to take Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) to be have a high level job or would by MAN suffice? Help me guys!

I am currently a high school senior. I have been accepted to many universities, including the school of my choice, Cal State Fullerton. I really want to go into the medical field, but I am confused on what major I should take. One of my choices is becoming a physician's assistant but I need to know what it takes to become one. I have been doing all kinds of research, but I have not decided on a major or the actual career that I want to get. A friend of mine is going to send her PS to a graduate school that she wants to apply.
She is a senior in college, eagering to apply for a graduate school in the U.S.

Just now,I read her 2-pages PS. I though her writing is not desirable enough. She may need a native speaker to correct or revise some sentences in her PS. But the problem is, she doesn't have a friend who is native english speaker.
