I went to UNM. That would defin itely fall under that amount for anyone in or out of state. Every college has complaints and problems but I must admit, at least in the southwest, UNM is definitely one of the cheaper colleges in the region.

You may want to consider a more specific question, i.e., "including tuition, books, room & board, transportation, etc." Community college tuition, including books, is nowhere near $22,000/year (typically 2 semesters/year @15 hrs./semester). Also, is the student a U.S. citizen, exchange student, from what country, ect. Also, if the proposed student has excelled in any field (art, science, math, etc.) include that info. Miami Dade College is one of the best Community Colleges (previously Miami Dade Community College) in the nation. Good luck.

Community college is really cheap compared to other schools. Mine cost about $3,000 a year. Many state colleges cost less than that, and ALL community colleges should.

Good luck!

If you stay in your own county, these schools are close to free. Out of county tuition can be significant.

If you are talking Junior College, there are some great private ones.
