I go to a community college and all their precalculas classes are full. I need to enroll in precal, so I can take cal 1, 2, and 3; and cal 1 is a needed for physics. I also signed up for trignometry for next spring. The advisor said I should beable to take trig and precal at the same time despite how difficult it will be. What are my options? Is there places where I can take the course and have creditied at my college? They don't offer it in summer which means it can set me back another year. That's three years now in community college--not to mention I was held back by my parents(the school would have promoted me to the first grade), So i'm already behind my age group--and then another two years at UF. I'm 20 years old, most college students are 21-22 when they graduate with their bachelors and me: I will be graduating with mine at about the age of 24. Big deal? I think so. I just want to hurry up and transfer to UF for a two year plan in computer science and move on with my life.

In my area there are lots of community colleges and they all transfer to the major university. So you may want to check other local community colleges if there are any, otherwise look at the universities and maybe they offer online classes? Otherwise, try University of Phoenix, they have a lot of campuses around the US as well as an online program.

I will tell you that from personal experience, if you are pretty good at math and you can take trig before calc, you may be able to get through without pre-calc. I did engineering and I only had high school trig before entering Calc 1 at a university, and I hear the community colleges tend to make it easier. Good luck!

Just RelaX, Man. It's not important on whether or not you graduate the oldest, youngest, or somewhere in between from everyone else. The bottomline is simple earning that degree and having it in your hands so you can do anything you want to do in life. So just chill and realize that it is not the end of the world if you are behind all the others in your age bracket. You will get it all done eventually...shoot you are only 20! You have a long time to live...:-)
