Higher Education (University +) - November 2006

Im interested in being a lawyer and I wnated to know if that career would be interesting and allow me some creative outlet?

I have been searching for colleges online and I have applied to 4 of them and they all accepcted me. I know which one I want and I am doing all my paper work for them. The other schools have been so nice with trying trying to get me set up with financial aid and classes what do I do?

Should I get recommendations from teachers I know well and/or did well in their class (I had the same teacher for Physics and Chemistry and Latin 2 and 3...but they were regular classes)

or

teachers like AP or honors teachers that will make me look smart, but I'm not as sure what they'll have to say about me (like AP English for example)

I want to go to University of Maryland which is a mainly math/science school...so should I get recommendations from my science and math teachers??? I'm in Pre-cal now and currently have an 88 and it is considered honors...and my science teacher has known me for 2 yrs...also I have a Latin teacher that has known me for 2 yrs (is Latin considered an important academic subject?)

Give me your advice! Is 3 too many?

I'm thinking about switching my major to Political Science, but I don't know what kind of career I would need to pursue beyond that. Would I be limited to becoming a lobbyist or a politician or a campaign manager or something along those lines?

Do to family problems I dropped out of high school and got a GED. I am interested in taking the SAT's to get into a four year college. can you still go to a four year with a ged without first going to a two year college and transferring?

I am an Iraq war veteran, was in the reserves. I tried doing the college thing and stopped going which really killed my GPA. If I really do well on SAT's and get 4.0 in a community college what are my chances of transfer into an Ivy League Business school?
Any other suggestions of doing it better?

I want to go to med school, but right now I am only going to a community college. I currently have a 4.0 GPA, but I don't know if it is good enough. I plan on transfering to a 4 year university after I am done with commnunity college.

I've been told that college transcripts follow you everywhere. But I have a horrible GPA and I won't qualify for finacial aid when I reapply to another school. So can I just not submit my transcripts and start over?
