Aside from referencing the Department of Homeland Security guidelines, you shoud be able to do a great deal of your research on the internet. Other than that perhaps contacting travel agencies to gather further information. If it is re out of the country travel you will also need to get some of that perspective as well. Travel safety today as in the past encompasses many contingencies. Safety can and is influenced by what the individual does or doesn't do;what safeguards are available to the traveler here and abroad; steps that shouldl taken to utilize all available information regarding travel requirrements. If you are going to tackle this project do it completely and well. There is a lot of help available in may sectors. Hope this helps in somesmall way.

First, you need to define 'travel'. Travel how? plane, boat, train, car? Then, what do you mean by 'safely'? Following TSA standards? Not having suitcases so heavy that you hurt yourself? Then, you can start researching the topic.

Depends on how you are going to travel. Then where it is you are going to travel. Also how long it is you are going to be in the area where traveling and what is going to be done while in the area.
