You will be more competitive if you go to Community College first. I would check the prospective universitites' web site for admission details. Also, if you go to a CC first, you won't need to take the SAT which is a test that's designed for affluent males. Most universities don't take standardized tests seriously because they're unfair and they don't measure intelligence or how you will do in school. I just graduated from UCLA after transfering from a CC. I had a high school diploma and got a 1320 on the SAT but went to another U before Community College. If you have any questions about getting into schools, contact me. Cheers, and good luck. You're well on your way :o)

it would matter what score you got on the SAT the higher the score the better the chance then what college you want to go to take the SAT &ACT and see what that gets you ---for that matter a two year school can really help you get through you required courses and transfer to a four and start you major

I am doing that as we TYPE lol.
The answer is yes. speak to an academic advisor at the college or university you wish to attend. The SAT or Cleps are mainly to gain credit towards a degree and really not a requirement.

Yes. Especially with a good SAT score. It will vary from school to school, but they only look for a HS diploma or equivalent.

It depends on the college, but in general yes. Write directly to the admissions office and explain your circumstances.

A lot depends on the college and how many students they are accepting.
