In class we read Eric Schlosser's "Fast Food Nation" and we also watched "Super Size Me", so obviously the paper needs to have something to do with the fast food industry.

if you are allowed to pick the topic then go with something you know no matter what it is. the teacher is looking at how you develop you ideas and research. I wrote a paper one time on baking a cake. As long as you have all the required parts wanted in the paper the topic will not matter. Writing about something you know a lot about helps as well on first papers like this. The next one will be on a topic the teacher chooses and those are the hard ones to do.

Go to a local fast-food restaurant. Ask the patrons if they have read or watched either the book or movie. If so, why do they continue to frequent those establishments. Do those books actually have an effect on sales?

Maybe something about how Jack-in-the-box uses humor to sell hamburgers. (love the commercials)

Or in keeping with the theme include nutrition info and a comparison of which is the least health to most healthly.
