Is UoP accredited? Sure. So is Loyola, Keller and Illinois Benedictine. Just because a GRE is not an entrance requirement does not mean the UoP is not a "real" university. The on-ground faculty boasts working experiece at major companies such as Baxter Labs, J.P. Morgan. Most people that I know of who are working adults do not attend "top" schools. The drivers are mostly convenient schedules. They take on ground classes just as I do. The faculty memebers do not issue passing grades unless the students participate in class and perform the required assigments in a timely manner. It also depends why one pursues an MBA. If youre a 30 something "hotshot" that wants someone to give you money just because you have a piece of paper called a degree, most of these schools may not be right for you. If you really put forth the effort and are taking classes to learn, that is the most important.

while these degrees are accredited, they are looked upon as not as good as a degree from a "real" university. the fact that there are no real entrance requirements indicated to employers that this person could not get into another university. because you are looking at an MBA (where the name of the school means EVERYTHING) I would try for a normal school. you will graduate better prepared and a better catch to employers. i understand that MBA programs are expensive but think how much money you will be making after you graduate with a real degree (not to mention the pride).

just as an example, i work with someone who went to Phoenix and she didnt know what New England was.

i could concur with the 1st answer right here. even if, oftentimes, employers are seeking someone who's certainly-knowledgeable. maximum individuals (no longer all, yet maximum) learn much less from taking classes on line. So those faculties might get a bad 'rap' through this. college of Phoenix, in my own opinion, is the only on line college it extremely is worth some time. My own opinion is which you may only circulate to an cyber web college if (a million) you intend to later circulate directly to get a extra robust degree, inclusive of a graduate degree or (2) you intend to paintings for your self. in any different case, you're critically disadvantaging your self while in comparison with many others who paid much less for a level from a school with extra own professors who instruct you extra suitable. in case you intend to paintings for your self, there is not any company to choose you by utilising the place you went to college. on line faculties grant a stable guidance, only as classic faculties do. Employers, even if, do no longer grant them the comparable admire.

They will look at it as a joke. You should avoid schools like Phoenix.

I'm of the opinion that an MBA won't increase your salary much unless you go to a top school. This is actually pretty easy to verify -- look at the rankings at US News or BusinessWeek and see what kinds of starting salaries students get at various schools.

Salaries drop off pretty quickly, and the value of an MBA almost disappears once you get past the top 30 schools.

As a person who once had to hire bookkeepers, A/R, and A/P people for a garment manufacturer, I can tell you that these correspondence or on line degrees always made me suspect. If the candidates could pass the skills tests, they often times lacked the skills to cope within organizations. After a while, I stopped interviewing them.
