anyone got access to jstor i need to do some research plz

I am wondering what is the difference between these six colleges at UCSD cos applicants are required to name their choices. However I have no idea which one is according to my preference. I'm applying for either Communications or Sociology as my major and will definitely be applying for housing(dorms) cos i'm an international student. So any kind souls please explain to me the different characteristics of these 6 colleges (Sixth C; Roosevelt; marshall; Warren; Revelle; John Muir)?

Which colleges have students who actively participated in school activities? Do share your experiences. Thanks ^^

Well iv been thinking about going to college but i really have no need to because i cant think of a career I would enjoy that would need a college ed. so does anyone know jobs that only requre highschool Ed. and maybe some training of some sort, and that make a lot of money, enough to support a single person in a large city, like New york?

I graduated w/ a BA in Psychology. Ever since then, I've been on the job search for several months now. I have accepted certain jobs, but did not enjoy to stay. Lately, I've been temping around to see what I like. My qualifications are mainly in administrative/clerical, banking, & logistics. I've been thinkin' bout getting my Master Degree in counseling, as I may enjoy being an Academic Counselor at a jr. college or state or UC. Any advice?

How come I feel unsucessful compared to my friends? I don't make good grades and I feel dumb sometimes. I dont use a lot of common sense and I make bad grades and I don't even know the simplest things in life...for example..I dont really know what a degree is or a bacheor degree is or anything grown-up????

I'm scared to go to college...I know why college right? I should be scared of high school, but I'm not. Everyone thinks high school is their worst fear ever (at least..my friends too), but its no problem with me...its COLLEGE!

I'm scared to be around a lot of people and I never ever been indepent or on my own before. I'm scared to go out and have fun...I mean, I want to have fun, but I'm not that comfortably around people...only people I feel 100% comfortable around and I know sooner or later...Ima have to hang with people I dont feel comfrtoable around.

And the real reason why I'm scared is because I think thats when I want to start dating and I'm really scared to have a boyfriend? I dont know how to start it off and another reason why is because I'm afraid I'm going to fail college and not keep up with other students.....

Another reason why is because going out to have fun. What if I end up a loser at school? HELP!

I want to go ahead and get a Ph.D. in mass media studies because I am very passionate about the subject and have a desire to publish and do original research in the field. I am not interested in completing the Ph.D. so that I can get a job out of it, or to benefit any career I plan on getting afterwards. When I tell people this I often get a very negative response. she comes to class and just tells us about how her day went, what she needs to be done, talks about other people, that sort of thing. then we'll start the lesson halfway into the class so we'll only have 30 minutes to tackle whatever needs to be learned. sometimes, she begins later than that. i don't wanna offend her but i am studying to be a teacher myself. i feel that she is robbing us of the education we deserve.
