What a good lesson this is. Learn it anyway. You learn as much by bad examples as by good ones. Until you have walked a mile in her shoes, you cannot judge.
I have always thought that formalized education was just superfluous. If you want to learn something there should be nothing, least of all an undermotivated instructor that keeps you from learning it.

You are in a tough position. If you complain to her automatically you go on her hit list. I guarantee you will not get a passing grade in this class. If you go to administration they may speak to her but you will still make the list.
You have two options, ignore what she does that you are not happy with and study harder to make up for her deficiency. The second option is to have your parents talk to the administration about your problem. They can show concern ( and act as if you know nothing about their visit )that you are not learning in her class and want to know why. If you choose this option do not tell anybody you asked your parents to so. If you do tell somehow it will get back to her and you make the list.
Good luck, I wish you the best solving the problem. Becoming a teacher is a noble occupation and one that takes a lot of dedication.

Sadly--there is not much you can do about a teacher like that. She is just a poor teacher--but she had not done anything overtly wrong. Maybe she is burned out--maybe she was always bad. But, she should have been weeded out by the school a long time ago. Unfortunelty that is not an easy thing to do in most schools once a teacher is entrenched.
As another teacher--all I can say is rembember how not to teach.

Speak to the dean or principal or the head of the department or even the school board. This woman has a problem, and should at least for now until she is able to straigthen out her life take a sabbatical from teaching. She is cheating her students and her own life with this behavior. This is no little matter. You will be doing your school, yourself, your fellow classmates and her a favor.
The woman needs help and no one will know this unless someone tells and that someone that has been appointed to expose this is you.

You're right! She has a supervisor doesn't she? Of some sort? Report her. And I'd change classes, if it's possible, to get a teacher who actually is willing to do the job she/he is hired for.

Waste of tuition fees. Report the matter to the concerned authorities (ie. Dean or School Administrator).

eww i hate those kinds of teachers! i've had them before and it is very annoying! usually the reason those teachers don't teach anything or blab about their lives is because they aren't knowledgeable in the subject they're teaching and want to waste time. i would write crappy stuff about her at the end-of-term teacher evaluations.

Try telling her your concerns. Maybe write a note anonymously, if you are worried about your grade.
