Listen, I know exactly how you feel. Last fall was my second year back in college. I am now 31 years old. I was so stressed out, confused, worried, and lost. I thought to myself, "This is so hard! What am I doing? I don't belong here. I had a perfectly good job before I quit to come back to school, I can just go back to it and be happy." The problem is that I wasn't happy at my old job and what I really want to do with my life requires me to finish college and get my degree. I decided to go back to college to finish getting my degree so I can be a teacher. I couldn't think of any other subject more that I would like to teach than math. However, I graduated from a very small school that only offered the basic requirements to graduate, so I only had the basic Math classes (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry). Then take into consideration that I was returning to college roughly 12 years after I had graduated high school. Last semester I took Calculus for the very first time. The semester started out pretty smoothly until my first Calculus test. Now, in high school I made the honor roll always made A's and B's. My grade on that first Calculus test--F! I could think of nothing else but giving up and running away. Then a professor gave me this advice. He told me that being a Math major does not make you smart, it is working hard and diligently that makes you smart. I thought about what he said and decided to stick with it. My next Calculus test was a B and I ended up with a B for the semester. I know things can be kind of overwhelming at first, but giving up and starting over is not the answer. Dropping all your classes will only serve to damage your transcript. If you decide that you must drop a class or two, then think about your options completely. Some schools offer you the ability to audit a class where you can stay in the class, but the grade you make won't go against your record. Here are some other options that you can look into that are offered at the college that I attend that may be offered there:
1. Go and see your professor for help
2. Find a tutor
3. Get to know someone in your class to be a study partner
Just remember, it won't always be this hard. This just means that you need to work a little harder.
Set yourself some goals and stick to them.
Set priorities and stick with it.
You can do it!

If you can save 2.0 or above I'd stay in. Otherwise I'd drop the class, but still stop in and listen to lectures. I've seen people drop classes and just drop more every quater/semester. It can become a habit.

i would say no if you drop out now you most likely wouldnt return at least thats what i see most people happen to them , they get involved in other things then they decide thats more important then they feel they are to old to go back to college , maybe lighten up your class load or really find what you want to study and focus on that the one class you are doing well in would be a possible guide in finding what you like . find somethings outside of school to take off your plate to so you can focus on school

Why waste the money if your going back. If you fail the class at least you will know what to expect. Just study alot until you know the material.

No, stay in school. I think it would be better if you stayed in school.
You may feel stressed out right now from all the pressure from school. Have you tried asking your professors about helping you with your school work?

I think that you should at least wait til the last day to drop. If you feel that you havenet accomplished anything by then, then drop. I would work on it first to see. If not drop. I wish you the best in the future.
