I am wondering what is the difference between these six colleges at UCSD cos applicants are required to name their choices. However I have no idea which one is according to my preference. I'm applying for either Communications or Sociology as my major and will definitely be applying for housing(dorms) cos i'm an international student. So any kind souls please explain to me the different characteristics of these 6 colleges (Sixth C; Roosevelt; marshall; Warren; Revelle; John Muir)?

Which colleges have students who actively participated in school activities? Do share your experiences. Thanks ^^

the six colleges are all under one big campus. however, they all have separate GE requirement... the courses you are specified to take for each college varies. as for as i know, revelle has a 5 quarter humanities requirement (history, writing...) as well as rigorous science courses.... muir has the 'easiest' GEs: just some muir writing courses... eleanor roosevelt has the modern world classes for six quarters... marshall has diversity courses... sixth has a culture and arts course and im not sure about warren... you may want to check out the school's website.. and see which one fits you best. if you aare going to major in communications/ sociology, i would probably look into a college where it will be easiest to get straight to your degree..(the courses needed for your major, rather than other classes). as far as i know, revelle has the most science GEs... so it may be a little difficult if you're not majoring in it, but it is a well-rounded college where it will prepare you for the future. It doesn't matter which college you go in, because they all offer the same majors.

There are plenty of passions to pursue in San Diego and this hotelbye is the area to start finds what San Diego needs to offer. In the San Diego vacation you will stage external of one's safe place and you'll explore new actions while you're here and you might only see that acquiring a new goal is an experience in itself. Among the places must see from San Diego is Balboa Park. This park has around a 1400 acre and here you will find historic structures, numerous museums, gardens, and natural space. The park was designed for the Panama California Exhibition of 1915-1916. The main structure is Spanish-Mexican model, reduced level houses that blend in with the organic surroundings. Among the highlights of the park are the Botanical Gardens and lily pool, the Museum of Man, the Museum of Natural History, the San Diego Museum of Art, and the famous San Diego Zoo. Even although you never get into a making the park is simply a beautiful place.

The 6 colleges depend on what major you want, so your choices sound like they would place you in the College of Letters and Sciences.

The page below has links to several pages comparing the colleges' requirements, focus, etc. Roosevelt sounds more internationally oriented.
