I hated calculus too and you know what???
I never used it once in my adult life!!!!!!!! and whats more I never ever knew anyone who did!

Calculus, especially Cal 1 is interesting and extremely useful. Some concepts can be more abstract than those in the lower level math classes. However, if you understand the basic concept first and then apply the rules, you may begin to enjoy your class. Try to learn how to read math textbook. It takes time to read from one example to the next. Do and redo examples. Use math software to assist you with graphing and solving derivatives/integrals. Hire a tutor if necessary.

ha ha, I never had to take calculus and I graduated with two Bachelors. I love math, and I hate English.

Unless you are taking calculus to get into a good college, then quit now and spare yourself the pain. It's an excercise in the self infliction of pain.

I respect it. I struggle with it, but I understand it's awesome power. Isaac Newton was a maniac, but also a genius. What an amazing tool from a guy who had none of the advanced tools with which to design it.

i used to get nightmares that i was sitting in class taking a test....managed to pass w/ a "c", but the highest grade I got on a test was a 27%....still don't know how it happened.
