If you like the sort of nontraditional thing, culinary arts is for you. It's also alot shorter.
I think with a psych or education degree you can either get a job that pays like mcdonald's (teacher) or work at (gasp!) mcdonald's.
But yeah, I am going for Accounting so I am a bit biased.
Culinary arts seems cool though, lots of people to meet and every chef I've met seems to be really cultured and have been a lot of places, and not to mention they are really good for the social world. (chicks/guys love someone they can cook!)

What can you do with a degree in psychology but teach. then you need a doctorite to teach people that want a masters degree.. With a masters degree you can teach people who want an associate or bacholers degree.
Now a chief you have to be will to work nights and weekends. What type of cooking would you specialize in....deserts, main dishes...ect
You need to look at the big picture of how long you want to go to school. would you work weekends and nights. Where would you go to school? to be a chief there is a great one in pennsylviana and vermont.
Thoughs are to totally different choices.

What you should do is decide what is the most interesting to you. The key to liking your job and having a happy future is to enjoy what you do for a living.

culinary school --- more challenging than listening to people who really don't want help, they just want to complain and keep making the same choices over and over again.... complaints I overheard from two psychologists.

It depends on what you are passionate about. Which one do you enjoy more? Which one can you see yourself doing every day and never getting tired of?
