Next semester I'm going to be traveling, but I still want to work on my degree. I was going to take French in the class room, but now I won't be in my universities state. They offer a online course. How hard is that going to be? Do you recommend it?

Please be nice. I have lived a hard life and was not afforded the chance to go to high-school. Spent most of that time on the streets or in juvenile hall. Anyways, enough with the sad story. I have a question. I want to go to college but am not able to attend a University or State College. The Admission director said that I would need to go through a community college and from there, transfer. My question is, where can I go, community college, that will give me the best education that a community college can offer? I am not stupid person and know that life is hard without an education, been there, done that. So please share your thoughts on the best place to attend community college.
Example: A place that University Professor freelance for, or the likes. Again, PLEASE HELP.

Believe it or not, I have an AAS in Nursing from a junior college. I would like to advance my degreee to a BSN, but am terrified of the chemistry requirement. I did not have to take much in the way of chemistry or math to get my associates degree. How should I start out? Do I need to take an algebra class first to get me prepared for the chemistry classes I would need for nursing? What should I do first to better prepare me?

I am a university student and have taken 3 math courses at the university level prior to algebra. I have an excellent GPA. The only course that is a serious struggle for me is algebra. I took one course two times, withdrawing the first time, only to earn a 'C' the second time. This was pretty devistating as I am usually an 'A' student. Any thoughts?

I know the ACT has science reasoning in it and has a different scoring system. But, do specific universities actually require the ACT instead of the SAT, and vice versa?

I'm a new college freshman. Is it a good idea for me to seek out professors in that week before classes start just to introduce myself, or maybe to ask some questions about the course? Or is it better to wait until classes officially start?
