This seems like a dumb question, but my husband is really stressed about me taking this course of study. He says I will not be able to find a decent job.

Most community colleges (or Junior colleges) require at least an M.A. for their faculty. All colleges and universities require one to two semesters of college-level writing. Additionally, most colleges also have developmental (or remedial) writing courses. Start checking the Chronicle of Higher Education for open positions. The jobs are updated each week.
